First recorded baptisms
Peter Olowodara, Daniel Eseyin, Luke Olorunleke and Thomas Ode Ayeni were the four pioneer converts baptised by Rev. Titcombe.
27 March 1925
First women baptised
Maria Anulase, Maria Iya Egbe, Leah Efa, Maria Iyagidan and Rakeli Omosofe were the first five women baptised in the church at Ilu-Oke.

Land allocated for the SIM church
Following formal community consultation and request, dedicated land was allocated to the SIM congregation for its church premises.

Church construction begins
Formal construction commenced on 15 May 1928 through dedicated member labour, material contributions, and community fundraising.

First organised choir
A fifteen-member choir, made up of eleven men and four women, was established as the first dedicated church singing group.

Historic church bell arrives
Community members journeyed to Lagos to procure a historic iron bell for the church, which was installed in Takete-Ide on 24 May 1939.

Takete-Ide ECWA LCC established
The Takete-Ide ECWA Local Church Council (LCC) was formally inaugurated, uniting First ECWA Takete-Ide, ECWA Aiyedayo, ECWA Ayede and Second ECWA Takete-Ide.
